Little League Softball: Ready for 2010?

It's January and it is officially preseason :) ! Coaches, league officials and fans of Little League Softball have lots to look forward to in 2010.

There are two important changes on the agenda the Little League Congress that will remove the last differences between ASA and Little League game play: dropped third strike and stealing when the ball leaves a pitcher's hand.

Here are the notes for the 2010 Congress:

League and team structure remains the same, and fundamentally different than most ASA and travel softball organizations.

However, LL softball has also issued a "Special Games" guide that outlines ways for LL teams to get more tournament-style play, if desired:

Totally applaud these new developments for Little League Softball!
